SAT Reasoning SAT preparation is offered in a comprehensive program, comprised of 8 x 2-hour tutorials and 2 x full-length practice tests (intensive courses consist of 12 x 2-hr. tutorials and 3 x full-length practice tests), covering each of the three sections of the SAT Reasoning: Math, Writing, and Critical Reading. During each session, students are instructed in both substantive material and test-taking strategy. SAT courses are available as group classes of no more than 5 students or as one-on-one tutorials. 2009/2010 SAT Test Dates: January 23, 2010 March 13, 2010 May 1, 2010 June 5, 2010 Classes are available for upcoming test dates. As more colleges accept the ACT in lieu of the SAT I, more students are opting to take the ACT as either a supplement to or replacement of the SAT. Students who prefer the ACT note that the questions tend to be more straightforward and that the content more closely mirrors much of that learned in school. Conversely, the SAT tests a range of reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical skills based upon, but not directly derived from, most schools' academic curricula. SAT Subject Tests Most schools require two to three SAT Subject Tests in addition to the SAT Reasoning or ACT. SAT Subject Tests preparatory classes include 2 x full-length, scored practice tests and 6 x 2-hour strategy and substance sessions covering all aspects of the SAT Subject Tests. Price: $700/class SSAT Prep SSAT preparation is currently offered in 4-week or 8-week sessions, each of which consists of 2 x full-length, scored practice tests and 8 x 1.5-hour tutorials. In every tutorial, students are instructed in subject material and test-taking strategy for each section of the test -- Reading Compehension, Verbal, Math, & the Written Essay.
