Credentials & Background
Bridget Allen
Scholar Co. is owned and operated by Bridget Allen. Bridget is a 1999 graduate of The Hotchkiss School and a 2003 graduate of Yale University. One of seven children, Bridget has been tutoring and advising on high school & college admissions since her time in New Haven.
Since graduation, Bridget has established over three years of full-time experience as an educational consultant, with background in standardized test preparation, writing instruction, high school & college advising, and various levels of academic tutoring.
She stays current on the trends in college admissions through extensive research and frequent college visits. She also serves as a regional contact & alumni interviewer for both Yale University & The Hotchiss School.
Katherine Koerber
Katherine Koerber is the newest addition to the Scholar Co. staff. Katy graduated in 2002 from University of Wisconsin -- Madison, and in 2006, finished her MFA in Creative Writing from the California College of the Arts.
A native Midwesterner, Katy lived in France, Ireland, and New York before settling in San Francisco. She has extensive tutoring and teaching experience and has been working in education since 1998.
